Walking the Sacred Landscape of Glastonbury
August 24th ~ 28th
Wednesday, August 24th. Arrive in Glastonbury. We will gather at our B&B in the late afternoon/early evening before an informal dinner in town, close to our B&B. [Specific details on your travel to Glastonbury will be clarified upon your registration.]
Thursday, August 25th. Morning in Glastonbury and afternoon at the Chakra Gardens
After traveling to Glastonbury on Wednesday, August 24th, we will begin our journey with a delicious breakfast at our Pilgrims B&B before we walk around the beautiful town of Glastonbury and its environs, and begin to familiarize ourselves with the town, the landscape and its sacred sites. We will take a gentle walk around the base of the Glastonbury Tor and to Gog and Magog, two ancient oak trees. The Glastonbury Pilgrim Reception Centre says about Gog and Magog, "With the traditional and biblical names of giant beings – stand in one of the further reaches of the sacred Avalon landscape, where they are in a relationship of alignment with other aspects of the sacred landscape such as the nearby Tor, Chalice Hill, the Abbey and Wearyall Hill."

After lunch, we will then spend the afternoon at the lovely home and gardens of Celia Gunn and Anthony Thorley, who discovered the pilgrimage of the Milky Way across the Glastonbury Zodiac.
We will get to walk in the magnificent Chakra Garden, grown and cultivated for the past 7 years by Celia. We will be given a knowledgeable introduction and overview of the Glastonbury Zodiac by Anthony in preparation for our walking the Equinox Line the next day.

Friday, August 26th. The Glastonbury Zodiac Alignment Pilgrimage: Walking in Abundance

John Wadsworth and Andreea Bradu (Kairos Astrology) will lead us on a beautiful walk across the Glastonbury Zodiac from the tail of the Scorpion to the bull's eye in Taurus. The walk takes us along a powerful energy line, which marks Katherine Maltwood's equinox line, which zodiac researcher Yuri Leitch has identified as part of powerful leyline (the Melkarth Line) stretching across the breadth of southern England, from Hartland Point in North Devon through the centre of the Glastonbury Zodiac, all the way to Canterbury Cathedral in Kent. We will walk a twelve mile stretch of this line through several key zodiac power centres.
This walk in nature, which takes us through beautiful landscape, carries a powerful medicine around the themes of gratitude and abundance. It is a journey of recognising one's own wealth of resources, re-claiming and taking ownership of them, learning to become a manifestor with the gifts each one of us has been given.

Energy Currents, Leylines & the Mary Michael Lines
Saturday, August 27th Sunrise in the Center of the Inner Circle at Stonehenge

A very early start his morning for a special private ceremony at Stonehenge. These days it is not possible to get near the stones at Stonehenge unless you book a private entrance. As the sun rises, we will have a very amazing one hour visit and ceremony inside the circle to sing with the ancient, powerful stones. Afterwards, we will go out to a well deserved breakfast.
We will spend the rest of the day visiting some of the places that we have not yet seen in the area. These may include Alton Priors church and spring, Adam’s Grave, East Field, the Sanctuary, barrows on Overton Hill, Winterborne Monkton Church, Alton Barnes White Horse, and perhaps a crop circle. After returning to Glastonbury, we will have a nice dinner and a great night’s sleep.

Sunday, August 28th Walking the Mary Michael Line
We will walk 10 or so miles from the village of Moorlinch into Glastonbury along the Mary Line as it weaves its way and serpentines though the Somerset Levels and the Avalon Marshes.

We will begin our walk in the village of Moorlinch and its church dedicated to St. Mary.
From the grounds of the church, we can see the Levels and in the far distance, Burrow Mump, another one of the many tors dedicated to St. Michael along the Michael Alignment.

This is a beautiful walk through fields and fairy glens, farms and villages, woods and marshes, along country lanes and public footpaths. As we near Glastonbury, we will visit Bride's Mound, the home of St. Brigid and her nunnery, and complete our walk at Wearyall Hill, strongly associated with the legends of Joseph of Arimathea and the Thorn Tree.
From Wearyall Hill and its vantage point, we can look back over the surrounding countryside from just outside of Glastonbury and see where we have walked and experienced the vitality of the earth’s energetic ley lines.

Diverging from the Mary Line by a few yards, we will stop for lunch at the Ring O' Bells freehouse pub in Ashcroft. Known for its award winning food and ales, we will enjoy a delicious Sunday lunch (vegetarian options available) to nourish us on a day long pilgrimage.

As we pause and take in the view of the Tor and the town of Glastonbury, we will breathe deep with the knowing that through our mini-pilgrimage, we have become aligned and connected with the power of these lands, and we will recognize the magic and the potency of the surrounding place.
When we enter Glastonbury, it will be with an embodied sense of aligning with the energies of the land and coming into a deep connection with the history, legends and mysteries of the Land of Avalon.

Sarah is delighted for you to join us as we explore and travel at a walking pace along the sacred path aligned with earth energies. This mini-pilgrimage is designed to be an enjoyable experience and we will go at a pleasurable pace. Our intention is to walk "deeply" rather than hard or far!
We want to savor the experience of the landscape, the energy line, the places, and the people at a gentle walking pace. Instead of a rushing “been there, done that” traveler’s attitude, we will adopt the pilgrim’s curiosity and consequently gather the spiritual enrichment of both the outer path and inner journey.
We look forward to you joining us!
