Sarah Hoskin

Born in England and raised in the US since I was three years old, I have experienced living in two worlds for as long as I can remember. This, along with a deep curiosity about the unseen, spiritual world, created an unsettledness and restlessness within me. despite living a wonderful life in a gorgeous place with immediate and extended family all around me. that urged to I spent most of my life growing up in the States, yet have experienced an palpable sense of being "home" whenever I am in England and Cornwall. This feeling has cultivated a deep longing within me to return to England as often and for as long as possible.
While drawn to the history, legends, myths of England and Cornwall, my connection has deepened more recently to include the sacred sites, leylines and mystical and ancient landscapes that have sparked my soul to remember my spiritual and ancestral roots.
When I first walked the Camino de Santiago in 2009, I was surprised when this ancient pilgrimage in Spain unexpectedly re-awoke in my longing to return to England. Since then, I have been to Cornwall and England almost every year.
In 2013, I discovered the Mary Michael Pilgrims Way, a pilgrim’s path that serpentines its way across the countryside of southern England, from near Land’s End in southwest Cornwall across through Glastonbury and Avebury, to the nourtheastern coast in Norfolk. This sacred path, aligned with the Michael Alignment, traverses the land of my ancestors, both in Cornwall and Somerset.
My mother's family is from Somerset, the county of Glastonbury, and my father's family is of ancient Cornish blood, from the county and the ancient and independent Celtic lands of Cornwall.
Each year I return to walk this path. My vision is to walk its full distance from Cornwall to Norfolk. Over the past three years, however, I am repeatedly called back to the spiral paths at its inception in Penwith and the paths into Glastonbury. Walking these ancients landscapes is most certainly reawakening my ancestral memory and spiritual roots.
In the words of Dion Fortune, each time that I return and open my heart and soul to the “secret Green Roads of the Soul - the Mystic Way that leads through the Hidden Door into a land known only to the eye of vision”, it is revealing itself to me, and reconnecting me with its energies, memories, and wisdom.
In walking these paths and returning to these ancient and sacred places, I am remembering who I am and connecting with the wisdom that is rooted in these places. I am coming home.

Life Coach, etc.
I am a certified Life Coach (CCPC). I think of myself more as a "life guide".
I am also a seasoned traveler, experienced journey creator, coordinator and guide. I am a pilgrim. After my solo pilgrimage on the Mary Michael Pilgrims Way in 2013, I created Spiral Path Pilgrimages so that I could share with people my love of mystical places, sacred sites, and spiral paths. I am also a wife and mother of four amazing children, ages ranging from 14 to 26. |
