Walking Pilgrimage along the Mary Michael Line into Glastonbury
September 7th

We invite you to walk with us into Glastonbury along this beautiful and powerful path. We will walk the last 10 or so miles from Moorlinch into Glastonbury through the Somerset Levels along public footpaths and country lanes, through fields, farms and villages. Two powerful and sacred sites of the Michael Alignment, Burrowbridge Mump behind us and Glastonbury Tor in front of us, stand out on the horizon to guide our way into the magic and legends of Glastonbury.
Our pilgrimage will be the outer journey to reconnect with and embody the sacred feminine within each of us.
Our pilgrimage will be the outer journey to reconnect with and embody the sacred feminine within each of us.

According to Dr. Patrick MacManaway, Dragon Lines, or earth energy leylines “are the pathways of electromagnetism and life-force that spread like a web across the surface of the planet.” Human beings have been drawn to these potent energy lines for eons, especially where the currents intersect and the energies are heightened. When experienced during a visit, ceremony or pilgrimage, one is deeply nourished on a physical, cellular level that often translates into spiritual awakening and transformation.
Evidence exists of an alignment across Southern England, linking Glastonbury Tor with the Avebury Stone Circle, St Michael’s Mount and numerous Neolithic, Celtic and early Christian holy places.

Today, a recognized pilgrimage path follows the earth energy currents from Cornwall to Norfolk, in SW England. It takes us through villages and towns, across moors and woodland, connecting us with ancient stone circles, monolithic stones, monuments, and early Christian churches dedicated to St Michael and St Mary. Exactly in the middle of the ley line we find the ancient stone circle of Avebury, and just west, the spiritual center of Avalon, Glastonbury. The prominent Glastonbury Tor, where the alignment of St Michael intersects with the dragon energy of Mary, guides us into this legendary place of miracles and mystical legends.
Itinerary
Sunday, September 7th. We walk into Glastonbury!

You can choose to walk either 10 miles from Moorlinch, or 6 or so miles from Ashcott...whatever feels best or right for you!
If you choose to walk 10 (or so!) miles, we will meet at the Daisy Centre in Glastonbury at 8:30am and take a taxi ride out to the village of Moorlinch.
We will begin our day's walking pilgrimage at the St Mary's Church, which sits up on the hill on the Mary Ley Line. A lovely place to connect with the sacred feminine energies of the Earth and the Mary Line as we look over the beautiful countryside from the church yard.

We will walk through a magical faerie glen and along country roads into Shapwick, the last village along our route. From here, we will walk through fields and farms along public footpaths to Ashcott, where we will meet up with the other pilgrims who will join us for Sunday Lunch at The Retreat Restaurant.
We will spend the afternoon walking through the Somerset Levels and the Avalon Marshes until we near Wearyall Hill, strongly associated with the legends of Joseph of Arimathea and the Thorn Tree. This marks the site of the staff that he plunged into the ground when, as legend has it, he came ashore, arriving here by boat after the crucifixion.

Finally, at Wearyall Hill, we can look back over the surrounding countryside from this vantage point just outside of Glastonbury and experienced for ourselves the force of the earth’s energetic ley lines.
As we pause and take in the view of the Tor and the town of Glastonbury, we will breathe deep with the knowing that through our pilgrimage, we have become aligned and connected with the power of these lands, and we will recognize the magic and the potency of the surrounding place. When we enter Glastonbury, it will be with an embodied sense of aligning with the energies of the land and coming into a deep connection with the history, legends and mysteries of the Land of Avalon.

Sarah is delighted for you to join us as we explore and travel at a walking pace along the sacred path aligned with earth energies. This pilgrimage is designed to be an enjoyable experience and we will go at a pleasurable pace. Our intention is to walk "deeply" rather than hard or far! We want to savor the experience of the landscape, the energy line, the places, and the people at a gentle walking pace. Instead of a rushing “been there, done that” traveler’s attitude, we will adopt the pilgrim’s curiosity and consequently gather the spiritual enrichment of both the outer path and inner journey. We look forward to you joining us!
