There are many roads leading to our English Jerusalem, 'the holiest erthe in Englande'.
We can approach it by the high-road of history...
Or we can come to Glastonbury by the upland path of legend...
And there is a third way to Glastonbury, one of the secret Green Roads of the Soul - the Mystic Way that leads through the Hidden Door into a land known only to the eye of vision. This is Avalon of the Heart to those who love her.
Glastonbury - Avalon of the Heart by Dion Fortune

We invite you to join us on a mystical journey to these sacred lands and ancient sites of Glastonbury and Cornwall. We will be led on the "secret Green Roads of the Soul" to experience an all encompassing journey into the seen and unseen worlds of the West Country. History, legend and the vision of the heart will come together and reveal the depth of the beauty, power and wisdom of these sacred, potent places.
In turn, we will be forever touched and changed by these encounters with these sacred places as they illuminate and awaken the sacred within each of us.
In Dion Fortune's words, "It is to this Avalon of the heart the pilgrims still go, awaiting what may meet them on this holy ground. None go away as they came."
As pilgrims on a journey, may we touch the beauty of our own souls we experience the Heart of Avalon.
We have three offerings that can be signed up for individually, in any combination, or all three together. Two of them involve daily walking, and the core journey is for those who prefer less walking and enjoy more transportation, and perhaps need a little more accessibility, being taken directly to the different sites.
The bookend offerings offer you experiences to walk and deeply experience the sacred and ancient landscapes of Glastonbury and/or Cornwall.
Below is an overview of the three options with a link to each page with detailed itineraries.

Option 1. Walking the Sacred Landscape of Glastonbury
August 24th ~ 28th
4 Days of Walking on sacred and ancient paths of Glastonbury including the Mary Michael Way and Equinox Line

We will begin our four days of walking the Somerset and Glastonbury landscape with a transition day to "land" in England after our travels. We will spend the morning in the lovely town of Glastonbury with an initiatory walk around the base of Glastonbury Tor that includes a visit to Gog and Magog, "the ‘Oaks of Avalon’, which are the two trees that are said to be a traditional point of entry onto the island, and were also part of a ceremonial Druidic avenue of oak trees running towards the Tor and beyond." After a picnic lunch, we will take a taxi to visit the beautiful Chakra Gardens (link) and enjoy tea with Celia Gunn and Anthony Thorley who discovered the mini-pilgrimage path of the Milky Way across the Glastonbury Zodiac.
We will be based at the lovely Pilgrims B&B located in the heart of Glastonbury. Dinner will be either on your own or with the group at one of the many wonderful local restaurants.
On Friday, we will walk approximately 12 miles with John Wadsworth and Andreea Bradu (Karios Astrology) on a beautiful walk across the Glastonbury Zodiac from the tail of the Scorpion to the bull's eye in Taurus. Passionate about sacred sites and sacred landscapes and in particular, the Glastonbury Zodiac, John and Andreea have been working with Anthony and the landscape zodiac to develop the walks within it over the past few years.
On Saturday, we will be in the center of the renowned Stonehenge Circle as the sun rises! This is a very special opportunity as most people only get to walk around the outside of this stone circle. Even as you walk around the outside, not even 50 feet away, you still do not fully experience or appreciate the magnificence and massive size of these stones! When you get to be in the center of the stones, you get to experience the stones and the circle in a very personal, intimate and profound way. We will have an hour to experience, celebrate and sing to the stones. An experience you will always treasure!
On Sunday, we will walk a 10-mile stretch of the Mary Line that weaves itself along the Michael Alignment between Moorlinch and Glastonbury Tor, a serpentine pathway that lies in-between the two local tors that stand sentinel above the flat landscape directly on the Michael Line. We will walk approximately 10 miles on public footpaths and country lanes, through farmland and woodlands, in faerie glens and on magical mounds, along riverbanks and across the Somerset Levels, and enjoy a very English Sunday Lunch at a local pub along the way. We will walk into Glastonbury via St. Bride's Mound where they are currently excavating St. Brigid's chapel!
As we walk into Glastonbury on Sunday afternoon, we will join the others who will be arriving in Glastonbury for the heart of the journey.

Option 2. Opening to the Heart of Mystical Glastonbury & Cornwall
August 28th ~ Sept 7th
10 Day Journey in and around Glastonbury, Avebury, West Kennet Long Barrow, Dorset & Cornwall
For ten days, we will explore and experience the myths, magic, stories, landscapes and sites of these mystical places. Guided by our extraordinary local guides, Tor, Peter, Michael, John and Andreea, who have devoted their lives to connecting with and sharing the ancient and sacred energies, myths and legends of these extraordinary places, we will experience the beauty and legends that lie just below the surface. We will connect with the heart of these sacred places as we open our eyes and hearts to the energies that resonate from deep within the landscape.
Based at the Pilgrims B&B in Glastonbury, we will visit the sites of Glastonbury including St. Bride's Mound, Wearyall Hill, St. Margaret's Chapel, Glastonbury Abbey, Chalice Well, and Glastonbury Tor, plus enjoy a day trip to Avebury and West Kennet Long Barrow, and a half day trip into Dorset to see the Cerne Abbas Giant.
We will have time to integrate, wander, explore and return on our own to the special places in Glastonbury that resonate with us. We can also set up opportunities for astrology sessions, intuitive sessions, bodywork or whatever you may be drawn to. Glastonbury is rich with healers, mystics and pilgrims!
We will also visit the labyrinth at St. John's Church, designed by my friend Sig Lonegren. Sig lived in Glastonbury for many years, and is well known for his many contributions to the world of geomancy, dowsing and has spent the last thirty-five years studying ancient tools that enhance intuition. He is the author of "Spiritual Dowsing," "The Pendulum Kit," "Labyrinths: Ancient Myths & Modern Uses," and "The Dowsing Rod Kit." This labyrinth is very close to our B&B, so we can visit it on our own and also with John and Andreea in preparation for our labyrinthine pilgrimage up the Glastonbury Tor. This optional, all day journey is challenging as we curve around and aroundm and up and down the massive tor, yet it promises to be one of the most rewarding and profound experiences of your time in Glastonbury.
We will then go to Cornwall with Michael as our guide for two days, driving down the Michael ley line into the wilds of Dartmoor, where we cross bridges over 4000 years old and wander in the magical Wistman’s Faerie Wood. We will climb Brent Tor, another one of the many, and miraculous tors dedicated to St. Michael on the Michael alignment. From here, we will go to Lydford Gorge, and then to the Hurlers stone circles and Cheesewring, to arrive in Tintagel later in the day where we will settle into our B&B, and find a lovely pub for dinner.
On our second day with Michael, we start our day at the mystically beautiful St Nectan's Glen and waterfall, and possibly Rocky Valley. From here, we will explore Tintagel Castle and Merlins Cave (which is exposed at low tide) to end our day in Penzance at the western end of Cornwall. We will arrive at our lovely new B&B, Rosemerryn in the late afternoon.
We will stay at lovely B&B's during our stay - Pilgrims B&B in Glastonbury, Bosayne in Tintagel, and Rosemerryn B&B in Lamorna, west of Penzance. They will provide us with a restful, nourishing place to stay and relax. The owners are lovely people who delight in creating a wonderful and inviting place for us to stay and be well taken care of.

Option 3. Walking the Paths of Penwith
September 7th ~ 12th
5 Days of Walking the sacred and ancient paths in Penwith, the most western and remote tip of Cornwall
For these last five days, we will spend each day walking in Penwith, the gorgeous and remote peninsula at the very western end of Cornwall. On the same day that the rest of the group departs, we will begin our walking on the St. Michael's Way (or what I lovingly refer to as the "Cornish Camino"), a 12-mile path across the most narrow north-south part of Cornwall. Legend says that Camino pilgrims would get dropped off on the north coast at Lelant and walk the stretch down to St Michael's Mount rather than risk the treacherous waters around Land's End. From Penzance and in sight of the infamous Mount, they would board the boats that would take them to the north coast of Spain, from where they would complete their Camino into Santiago.
On Thursday, we will start our walk at Carn Les Boels, a stunning outcropping of rocks on the south coast where the Mary and Michael lines enter into Cornwall and England from the sea. This potent, beautiful place inspires awe and wonder and gives us the opportunity to experience the rocky, dramatic cliffs of the Cornish coast. From here, we will walk to the very special Alsia Well, the only well in Cornwall not discovered by the Christian Church, and therefore considered the only remaining goddess well in the area. We will complete our walk this day in St. Buryan, a small town in the center of Penwith.
On Friday, we will return to St Buryan to begin our walk to the Boscowen'un stone circle. This amazing circle lies directly on the Mary Line and actually redirects the flow of energy with its powerful center stone. Our experience there is not to be rushed. Depending on how long we choose to spend here, we may continue our walk to Sancreed Well, another one of the many holy wells in this area, or find our way to the magical Trevelloe Woods, and complete our circle back to Rosemerryn.
On Saturday and Sunday, we will walk the "Mermaid to Merry Maids" paths from Zennor to Lamorna. We will have already visited both of these sites earlier with the bigger group. Now we will get to spend two days walking to these powerful places along the spiral paths and slowly experience the rich and varied landscape in between by foot.
After five days of walking these ancient and sacred paths of Penwith, you will feel a personal relationship with this ancient land and its sites, landscape and energies. It is truly an extraordinary place that awakens primal and ancient energies within its pilgrims, and will touch you very deeply.
