General Information, Itinerary & Pricing
Spiral Paths of Cornwall Itinerary, Pricing & Inclusions/Exclusions
June 19th - 29th 2014
Practical Information
We offer a very personalized pilgrimage that includes a high standard of accommodation and meals, group facilitation and experienced guidance along the ancient paths in Cornwall.
Accommodations
We will be staying in three different bed and breakfasts during our 10 day pilgrimage experience. Rooms will be with double and/or single beds, and most rooms will have bathrooms ensuite. A full and hearty breakfast is included and will be available for you each morning.
We will stay at the Artists Residence in Penzance for our first two nights. We will gather here as a group, and enjoy a delicious commencement dinner at the Mackerel Sky Cafe that is included in the price of your pilgrimage.
We will then stay at Rosemerryn House, a former artist's residence built at the turn of the twentieth century, in Lamorna, for four nights. Both the house and cottage are set in seven acres of magical woodland, which they share with a two thousand year old man made cave or temple, the Boleigh Fogou, which is just one of numerous such Ancient Celtic Sites to be found in the far west of Cornwall. The fogou was once part of an iron-age settlement perched on a knoll above the Lamorna River. From here, we will explore and walk in Penrith, and experience the wild and rocky coast at Carn Les Boels, along with sacred wells, standing stones and stone circles, as we walk country lanes with hedgerows thick with wild flowers. We will also go to Minack Theater in its magnificent setting to see a play as we look over the sea.
We will then leave western Cornwall to go to the Bodmin Moor area, considered by many to the "heart of Cornwall". We will stay near St Neot at the Trevina House for our our last 4 nights.
Your bags will stay in our hotel rooms and you will only have to carry a day pack (with water) and optional walking poles.
Meals and Food
All breakfasts, four (4 or more) lunches, and two (2) dinners are included in the cost of the pilgrimage.
Each morning we will have a hearty breakfast available to fuel our daily walks of 5 - 7 miles. Options typically include a traditional English breakfast with eggs, meat and toast, maybe even some baked beans if you're lucky (!), along with cereals, yogurts, fruit, etc. We will arrange lunches on a daily basis. Some days we might purchase a sack lunch from the B&B, or buy provisions at little stores along the way, or stop off for a pub lunch as we pass through a village. Dinners will be eaten at local restaurants and pubs along the way.
If you have food allergies or ANY other dietary requirements – including vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free requirements, we ask that you take care of yourself and ask for what you need at each of the restaurants. More and more, England is aware of and accommodating special dietary requirements, but we are unable to guarantee that every restaurant will be able to accommodate your needs. Please tell us at the time of booking and we will do our best to support you and to make sure that there are no problems.
Weather and Clothes
The weather in England can be lovely in June, and it can also be cool and grey, and yes, of course, rainy! We may experience the golden, warm days of summer, it may even be hot, and/or we may get typical English rainy and cooler weather. We need to be prepared for all of this, so be sure to have rain gear, and layers. We will provide you with a complete clothing and gear list so that you can feel confident about being outside and walking. Remember, there’s no bad weather; only inappropriate clothing!
A complete List of What to Bring (and what not to bring!) will be provided when you register!

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
You will need to make your own travel arrangement to Penzance, Cornwall, UK, to arrive by the evening of Thursday, June 19, 2014. Sarah will be flying over earlier in June, and will be in Penzance to welcome you.
AIR TRAVEL
If you are arriving by air in England on June 19th, please book your flights to arrive in England in the morning of June 19th, 2014 so that you can get the train down to Penzance, preferably in time for dinner with the group. It is best to arrive at Heathrow International Airport (if arriving in London) so that you can take the easy and accessible Heathrow Express train to London Paddington Station. If you arrive at Gatwick International Airport, you can take the Gatwick Express train to London Victoria Station, and then will need to transfer via the Tube to London Paddington Station.
TRAIN TRAVEL
You may want to consider purchasing a 3-Day BritRail South West Travel Pass. This will include your Heathrow or Gatwick Express (15 minutes) from/to Heathrow Airport to London Paddington Station/ 30 minutes from Gatwick to Victoria Station, and then transfer time to Paddington Station.) The other option is to purchase the train tickets separately.
You will have 3 days of train travel:
Day 1. Thursday, June 19th
Heathrow Express to Paddington Station:
Take the Heathrow Express from Heathrow Airport to London Paddington Train Station. This very quick and easy train leaves every 15 minutes from both the airport and Paddington. Click on the link above or purchase your return (round-trip) ticket separately.
London Paddington to Penzance:
Trains to southwest England leave directly from London Paddington. We can work together to get the best timed train for you and so that you can also ride with other members of our group. We will arrange an express train that will take you to Penzance in 4 or so hours. This could be a nice time to just relax and sleep and take the edge off jet lag!
The station is quite close to our Bed & Breakfast hotel. You can easily walk, or get a taxi, to the hotel. We will know how many of you will be on the same train closer to our dates and so can arrange accordingly!
When you register, we will supply you with the necessary information to purchase your train tickets.
Day 2. Sunday, June 29th
Lostwithiel to London. You will take a train back up to London Paddington. Given the times of flights to the US, as most leave in the morning, it probably the easiest and least stressful to book a hotel for Sunday night near Paddington Station in London, and catch the Heathrow Express the morning/day for your flight.
Day 3. Monday, June 30th
Heathrow Express, London to Heathrow.
We will need your train travel details for your arrival to Penzance Train Station, so we can arrange to have someone to pick you up/meet you when your train arrives.
Please plan air travel accordingly as you will will not be able to get to London before mid- to late- Sunday afternoon. To fly out of Heathrow/Gatwick, it is best that you book your travel for any time of day on Monday, June 30th, 2014. I suggest making hotel reservations for Sunday evening near London Paddington station, and taking the Heathrow Express (15 minutes) to the airport the next day.
Please arrange accordingly.
50% of your balance is due by April 30th, 2014, with the final 50% balance due by May 25, 2014.

The Path guides and provides every step of the way.

I am delighted for you to join Wendalyn and me as we guide you to explore and travel the sacred spiral paths aligned with the powerful earth energies and dragon lines in the ancient land of Cornwall. We will have many opportunities for a rich inner experience as we walk the outer path that is deeply rooted in sacred earth energies.
We will have three pre-pilgrimage Preparation Calls and a private Facebook page for you where we can all connect around this very special pilgrimage experience, begin to get acquainted or deepen our connections in advance and remain in contact afterward!
As we walk to cultivate our awareness and to attune our energy to this ancient and sacred land, we open ourselves to receive the gifts from the path and to bring home with us the wisdom and transformation from this rich and powerful journey.
I look forward to walking with you!
