~ WE ARE ALL DAUGHTERS PILGRIMAGE ~
Walk the sacred Dragon Way path across Dartmoor and through Devon
A sacred walking pilgrimage for any woman who wants to reconnect as
daughter to the sacred Mother, the Earth.
June 19th - 30th, 2014
We will walk together as mothers, daughters, sisters and have an embodied experience of the Sacred Feminine.
The weaving of the ancient feminine Dragon Line with the masculine solar alignment, calls on us to connect and engage with both the ancient sites along the way and the sacred path itself. In walking, we get to remember who we truly are ~ daughters of the Great Mother and keepers of the Earth, her wisdom, power and beauty.
A 10 Day Sacred Walking Pilgrimage Experience
June 19th -30th
100+ miles from Okehampton to Taunton
For those who want to experience the rich, wild and varied landscapes of Devon and Somerset, the sacred sites, and earth energies.
The Dragon Line
According to Dr. Patrick MacManaway, Dragon Lines, or earth energy lines “are the pathways of electromagnetism and life-force that spread like a web across the surface of the planet.” Human beings have been drawn to these potent energy lines for eons, especially where the currents intersect and the energies are heightened. When experienced during a visit, ceremony or pilgrimage, one is deeply nourished on a physical, cellular level that often gets translated into spiritual awakening and transformation.
A powerful earth energy line, most commonly known as the Dragon Line, or Dragon Way, and also called the Mary Michael Way, enters England in the southwest corner of Cornwall, passes through St Michael’s Mount as it weaves its serpentine path along the solar alignment of St Michael through Glastonbury and Avebury, all the way across southern England to the east coast in Norfolk. As it weaves and winds, it passes through varying landscapes and terrain to connect significant and powerful sacred sites, that ancient people marked with stone circles, mounds, mumps and standing stones.

On our 6 day pilgrimage (not including one travel day), we will walk along the Dragon Line of St. Mary, and across the Michael Alignment through towns and villages, along river ways and through woods and fields, across the Somerset Levels as we are guided by the tors and “mumps” of St. Michael into Glastonbury. As we walk, we will experience directly the power of these special places where the masculine and feminine converge. We will be nourished as we walk directly on the earth energy lines. We will come to know and discern when we are on the earth energy current and when we are not.
A pilgrim’s walking journey, while not necessarily arduous, does involve physical effort. It also demands that we are willing to leave the familiar behind, and have a commitment to arrive at a destination in the future, and yet be present in the moments of the unfolding journey. We must allow ourselves to walk through the unknown and unfamiliar. The naturally slow pace of walking allows us to experience sites, the landscape, and people along the way in a more intimate, unhurried and personal way. Often, you will come across something that was previously unseen or disregarded (especially when seen , and have an unexpected, and perhaps even magical, experience! The simple act of walking...so simple on the outside, yet a rich, complex and transformational journey on the inside. The pilgrimage path opens one's mind and one's heart - to receive the gifts from the path.
ITINERARY
Wednesday, June 18th. Fly over to London Heathrow Airport.
Day 1. Thursday, June 19th Travel to Exeter
Arrive at Heathrow Airport in London. Take the Heathrow Express train into Paddington Station and catch train to Exeter. We will all gather here to come together as a group and enjoy a delicious commencement dinner before we turn in for a restful and much needed night's sleep.
Day 2. Friday, June 20th We begin our pilgrimage!
After a delicious English breakfast, we will take a bus to the outskirts of town and begin our pilgrimage! We will soon find ourselves in the countryside of Somerset and get to walk through fields and along country lanes, across stone bridges, and through stone villages and ancient churchyards.
Day 3. Saturday, June 21st. We celebrate the Summer Solstice at the stone ring known as Ninestones below Belstone Tor.
Day 4 through Day 10. Sunday, June 22nd - Saturday, June 28th Walking Pilgrimage
We will walk approximately 32 miles over the next five days along the “Dragon Line”, the earth energy ley line that winds its way through the countryside of Somerset to Glastonbury.
We will walk 5 to 7 miles each day on public footpaths and country lanes, through farmland and woodlands, along riverbanks and across the Somerset Levels. The Burrow Mump and Glastonbury Tor, both standing above the landscape, will guide and direct us as we walk eastward.
This pilgrimage is designed to be an enjoyable experience that we will enjoy at a pleasurable pace. We want to savor the experience and get to deeply experience the landscape, the line, the places and the people. Instead of a rushing “been there, done that” traveler's attitude, we will adopt the pilgrim's curiosity to the path and the place, experience the land and its energies at a gentle walking pace, and get to have the pilgrim’s rich experience of both the outer path and inner journey.
Along the way, we will walk through villages and towns that are sites where the Dragon Line and Michael Alignment converge. Often there are churches and monuments at these sites. We will also pass through villages that are said to reside on the Dragon Line itself. Often, there will be churches dedicated to Mary, the Christian embodiment of feminine energy. Will we notice a distinct energy in these places? What visual signs will we see that reflect the inhabitants connect to these ancient earth energies?
We will stay in Bed & Breakfasts along the way, and eat their delicious and hearty English breakfasts each morning to fuel our day’s walk. We will unwind from our day’s walk each afternoon with some time to ourselves, quiet time to reflect on our day’s journey, and perhaps enjoy a gentle stroll to the local church or village center, and then enjoy a delicious dinner before we turn into for a good night’s sleep.
Our days will follow a nourishing rhythm between eating, walking, relaxing, reflecting and perhaps journaling or artwork, sharing, and sleeping. Ah! The simple life of a pilgrim on the path!

Your Leader/Facilitator
Sarah Hoskin Clymer has walked sacred pilgrimage paths for the past 5 years. In 2009, Sarah first walked a 170 kilometer journey into Santiago de Compostela, Spain, along the Camino Francès. She then returned in 2010 and 2012 to walk the first 1000 kilometers of the “Celtic Camino”, an ancient “path of initiation” that begins in Santiago and completes in Scotland.
With her roots and ancestory in southwestern England, Sarah was then powerfully drawn to the pilgrimage path that crosses southern England from west to east. In June 2013, she walked solo from Land’s End in western Cornwall to Lostwithiel and Restormel Castle, her spiritual home. This summer, Sarah will continue to her pilgrimage along this dragon line pilgrimage from Restormel all the way across the moors of Cornwall and Devon, into the Somerset Levels and Glastonbury, where she will meet up with her sisters and daughters to walk together into Avalon. She will walk through the land of her paternal family in Cornwall into the land of her maternal family in Somerset along this sacred path as it weaves and winds its way across England. As she walks, she embodies and integrates the divine feminine and sacred masculine energies within her, and in her small yet powerful way, contributes to creating Heaven on Earth. Sarah walks, lives and embodies the gifts of activation, transformation, alignment, and abundance that she has received from the Path. She is both delighted and honored to share this opportunity for sacred pilgrimage with you, especially given that we will walk through the land of Avalon to arrive at the most mystical of destinations, Glastonbury. |
